The Ore-Ida Council in conjunction with the Idaho Outdoor Association are offering a Leave No Trace trainer course in the McCall, ID area. The course consists of a 3 hour LNT awareness course and an overnight field portion where LNT principles are demonstrated and practiced.

The course is designed for scouters, educators, guides, agency employees, other outdoor professionals and anyone interested in learning more about minimum impact skills and ethics. After completing the pre-requisite course on May 21st, participants will meet at Camp Morrison on May 31st and enjoy training and camping at the waterfront.
This course is for everyone age 14 & older who will teach Leave No Trace to others. Leave No Trace is integrated into every Scouting Program, every Pack, Troop, Team, and Crew, should have a Leave No Trace Trainer. The course is highly recommended for members of the Districts’ outdoor skills training teams who teach IOLS, BALOO, OWLS, and Leader Specific Training. Scouts holding the Outdoor Ethics Guide position of responsibility learn the skills they need to be successful in their job through participating in this course.
On completion of this course, participants will be registered as Leave No Trace Trainers with the National Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics and will receive a certificate of course completion as well as their Leave No Trace Trainer lapel pin or patch.
