Submit multiple applications for as many people as you feel are worthy for any of the awards listed below.  If your Scouter doesn’t “fit” into a category below or on the form, give us as much information about their service as possible.

Some awards the District will give include:

District Award of Merit: The Highest award our District can bestow. Our District can present approximately 7 District Awards of Merit this year (exact number determined by the number of Units in our District). This award is typically given to those who are active at the District level or have served ~ 10 years at the unit level.

Star Performer:  This award is to recognize one “Star Performer” from your Chartered Organization or Unit.  It is up to the Chartered Organization or Unit whether to honor one person for the whole organization or a person from each unit.  Unlike the other awards on this list, this one may be presented to a Parent who is not registered as a leader. This award will be limited to no more than one award per Unit.  If multiple entries for a Unit are received, the selection committee will attempt to contact Unit Leadership in making the final selection.

Unit Leader of the Year (examples: Scoutmaster, Venturing Adviser, Cubmaster, Den Leader, Webelos Den Leader, Committee Chair, Charter Org Representative, Commissioner, etc.)

Extra Miler Award: This award is intended to recognize scouters who go above and beyond.

Unsung Hero Award: This award is intended to recognize scouters who do a phenomenal job but never/hardly ever receives praise or recognition.

Spirit of Scouting Award: This award is intended to recognize scouters who embody the Scout Oath and Law.
