Located between Pine and Featherville along the Boise River, Camp Wilson is the Oregon Trail District Camporee, and 2019 is the 72nd year. We have a longstanding tradition of good food, good fun, and an amazing experience that will encourage your Scouts to put their Scouting skills to the test!
Camp Wilson is the district Camporee event for the Oregon Trail District of Ore-Ida Council. While the event is primarily intended to give Oregon Trail troops a chance to participate in a competitive camping experience, it is welcome to all Scout Troops that would care to join us.We’ve had visitors in the past from other districts, other councils…even other states!
Camp Wilson takes place on the first weekend, or partial weekend, in May each year. It runs from Friday through Sunday, beginning with the troops backpacking into the camp and ending with a barbecue provided by the community. The entire event takes place on property graciously made available by the Wilson family to the Scouts…and it’s been going on for a very long time.
Troops enjoy a great opportunity to camp, practice their various Scout skills, participate in two great campfire assembles, enjoy comradery and competition, and just all-around have a greattime. If you haven’t been before, or you haven’t been for a while, then you owe it to yourselfand your Troop to come check it out!
