How Can I Prepare?

The Dacs at Camp Morrison
The Dacs

You can register online

Medical Form

You must complete parts A, B, and C

Complete the 20-Questions Questionnaire

The Twenty Questions precourse assignment is intended to help you lay the groundwork for the course by developing a clearer understanding of your personal interests, values, and sense of the future.  At Wood Badge, you will have the opportunity to channel that information into the development of specific goals and effective means of action.

Training for your current scouting position

The best way to prepare for Wood Badge is to make sure you have done all your online training. This is done by logging on to my.scouting.org and selecting the training you need. Additionally, you can attend leader specific and/or outdoor training(s) held at any one of the seven district in our council.

Camp Equipment for 4 nights (week long course) or 3 nights (two weekend course)

While on course, participants will sleep in their own tent with their patrol or in gender specified Daks (see above photo).  At the bottom of this page are photos of provided camp equipment (patrol box, bear box, and cooking stove).  In addition to this, 1 propane canister, 1 gas lantern, and a rainfly are provided.  Feel free to bring additional camping comfort item you wish.
